About Me

Mary Danielson is a Ph.D. candidate and YA novelist from Austin, TX. After finally learning to sew in the summer of 2010 (after prolonged nagging by her mother), Mary began making vintage-inspired garments. Okay, let's not even front. Mary began making dresses. So many dresses. She has a deep and abiding love of early 1960's fashion, vintage textiles, and buttons. Since other people seem to like these things too, she started this blog to share the love.

When she's not sewing, Mary can be found writing her next book or, more likely, watching way too much British television. Sherlock, Downton Abbey, and North & South have permanent spots atop her DVD player. Her dog, Remy, does force her to take long walks sometimes, but they are rarely on beaches as there's a short supply of those in Central Texas.

  1. I am a bit afraid to ask you this, but hope you will, as a great sewer, understand my wish.
I saw in your blog some weeks ago, that you have used the pattern Simplicity 2591 some years ago – and since I saw the pictures on your Blog, I have been looking all over the cyberspace to find the pattern.
I use size 16 (about) and would ask you if I can buy your pattern or a copy.
I found it on Amazon.com in a smaller version, but I could make it bigger myself.
They could not send it for Denmark (Amazon have some rules).
Please read this mail as a kindly request
